Kwaliteit EN AW-1050A
EN AW-1050A is een ongelegeerd aluminium met maximaal 0,5%
verontreiniging. Het materiaal is niet thermisch hardbaar. Verhoging van
de sterkte is alleen mogelijk door koudeformatie (versteviging, conditie
Hxx), hetgeen gepaard gaat met een afname van de rek en dus van de
vervormbaarheid, waarbij de conditie H2x iets betere
vervormingseigenschappen heeft dan de conditie H1x.
De corrosieweerstand is onder "normale" omstandigheden uitstekend en kan
eventueel nog verbeterd worden door producten technisch te anodiseren. In
zachtgegloeide toestand (O) is dit materiaal uitstekend te
vervormen (buigen, dieptrekken, forceren e.d.). Bij het lassen van EN AW-1050A in de
koudverstevigde toestand moet in de warmtebeïnvloedbare zone rekening
gehouden worden met een daling van de sterkte naar het niveau van de
zachtgegloeide toestand.Toepassingen zijn o.a. opslagtanks,
warmtewisselaars, verpakkingen, reflectoren e.d.
